Local processing of your files

Selected EPUB, PDF and image files are processed inside the browser on your device. BookForge does not send these files to its own server for conversion or store them there. The result is generated locally and downloaded by your browser.

Hosting

The website is delivered through Cloudflare Pages and the Cloudflare content delivery network. Cloudflare processes technically necessary connection data — IP address, timestamp, requested resource, referrer, browser and device information — in order to deliver the site securely and reliably. The legal basis is the legitimate interest in secure, performant delivery under Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. Cloudflare may process data outside the European Economic Area and provides contractual safeguards for this.

Cloudflare Web Analytics

We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to understand in aggregate which pages are visited, which sites visitors come from and how the site performs technically. This covers hostname, page path, referrer, country, device type, browser, operating system and performance values. File names, file contents and input to the tools are not recorded.

According to Cloudflare, Web Analytics uses no cookies, builds no individual visitor profiles and does not track users across sites. Processing is based on the legitimate interest in privacy-preserving reach and quality measurement under Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. Because neither cookies nor comparable identifiers are stored in the browser, no consent banner appears for it.

Local storage

BookForge stores your colour-theme choice and cookie decision in browser local storage. These values never leave your device and keep your preferences for a later visit.

Advertising

This website carries no advertising. No ad networks are embedded, no advertising scripts are loaded and no profiling for advertising purposes takes place.

Google Analytics

Google Analytics is currently inactive; the shipped build contains a placeholder ID only, so no script is loaded. While that remains the case this website sets no consent-requiring cookies and therefore shows no consent banner.

If Google Analytics is configured later, it will be loaded only after explicit consent (Consent Mode v2, default “denied”), and provider information, purposes, retention periods, recipients, possible international transfers and withdrawal options will be documented here before activation. “Cookie settings” in the footer then reopens the choice.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection, and you may lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. Please direct questions or objections to info@metzware.com.
